How Does The WeedRoller Work?
The WeedRoller moves in a slow, broad arc, pivoting more than 270 degrees. As it's linked rollers rotate along the lake bottom, the WeedRoller detaches existing weeds and agitates the lake bed. This prevents more weed growth, for a clean, sandy lake bottom and a pleasant swimming area. The WeedRoller easily attaches to any dock or can be set up on an optional tripod. For initial clearing, operate the WeedRoller continuously until the area is cleared.

6/27/07 I have only been to the lake (3) weekends since I purchased it, but I will tell you, the last week is when it was clear that my purchase was worth every penny. Remember when you said it would eventually get to sand only, and at the end there will be a distinct wall of where the sand is and the muck starts...that is what I have. I am very happy. 6/27/07 I was back up there last Thursday after 2 weeks of operation and the treatment area was totally cleared! Nothing but nice sand now. This is the swimming area I was looking to achieve. I had 10 buddies up last weekend and everyone was impressed with the clear water and sandy bottom. Jason
6/26/07 The WeedRoller is working very well. After 2 months, the mud kit has been removed along with all the air in the tubes. I am down to running it a few hours a week. We had a brunch on our beach Sunday and received many comments about how nice our beach looks. Most importantly, no weeds and nice clean sand, no silt to stir up when swimming. Several of our neighbors are getting disappointed with the effectiveness of the chemicals used to treat the weeds and I know you will be receiving a call for at lease one of them. Link
5/22/07 Alison: Orlando Florida Bruce, Thanks for checking in. Sorry for the delay in responding….we were out the backyard enjoying our “NEW” lake all weekend! J We now have jetskis, children splashing at the shoreline, white sand….A much better picture than months ago when we didn’t even look outside because it was so depressing and overgrown.
Thanks for checking in … We are pleased with our WeedRoller! My husband had no problem assembling it and a tripod to put it on, as well. It has been running continuously for several weeks now. We move it every 4 or 5 days, depending on the area it’s taking care of. I will send you some pictures next weekend. If you remember, we had the big brush removed before ordering the Weedroller, but the roots were still there and we knew they would quickly grow back. Well – the Weedroller has taken care of that!

Currently there are THOUSANDS in use today - and that's just in Minnesota (the birthplace of the WeedRoller). The WeedRoller is one of those products that has been succesfully sold by word of mouth and by referral. If a new WeedRoller lands on someone's shoreline, it takes very little time before that neighborhood adds another, then across the bay, the lake, the county and the state.
The biggest draw for most lakeshore owners is that they can define the area of weed control to their specific swim area. Most people that have kids swimming in the water prefer The WeedRoller rather than pouring chemicals in that will drift - and who knows what the long term effects are. We believe that the WeedRoller is better for the environment that the alternative methods.
